The curtain night falls softly down,
To veil the earth and cloak her eyes.
For weary somnolence repose, and slumber 'neath celestial skies.
Not I, though, close my eyes at night,
But drink the star scape in like wine.
Inebriated my soul to gaze
Upon the star of Hellas, mine!
